This is a dainty, delicate necklace made with small black beads on a tiny cable link gold chain. The necklace measures 20″ from end to end when opened with the rosary length of 3″. It will not fit over your head so you must use the small lobster clasp to put it on. There is no length extension chain. It’s embellished with a Virgin Mary centerpiece and a cross on the end. The chain and embellishments are beautifully polished gold and the black beads have that sparkle that comes from their multi-faceted cut. It seems very well made and does have that understatedly striking quality when worn. But again, it is dainty with the bead size being maybe 2 steps up from seed beads and the chain cable is tiny. The embellishments are small and to me it’s hard to depict the graphics. On the model in the description, the length is about right but the overall bead and chain size is much smaller. I would consider this too elegant to be used for prayer beads but it is a gorgeous piece of jewelry! Definitely recommend.
